Basic Needs
A curated list of basic needs resources available to students at U.C. Berkeley.
The Basic Needs Center provides students with services to support their urgent food, housing, and financial situations.
U.C. Berkeley Food Pantry provides students access to food to meet their basic nutritional needs.
The State of California provides assistance for access to food, through the CalFresh program, to eligible recipients.
The Tang Center, a part of University Health Services, will provide most basic medical services to all registered students, regardless of insurance.

Short term counseling for academic, career, and personal issues is available for all registered students by phone (510-642-9494), at the Tang Center, and at the various satellite offices around campus.
Note: After-hours support is available at 855-817-5667. In addition, you can access these services on behalf of a U.C. Berkeley student.
